Your Impact in This Role
You’ll play a key role in growing support for Children’s Hope Alliance through relationship-building, fundraising, and community engagement:
Build and Strengthen Donor Relationships
- Connect with individual donors, churches, and community partners across North Carolina
- Meet with donors and prospects in person to share the mission and inspire support
- Cultivate and steward relationships to increase engagement and contributions
Expand Foundation Partnerships
- Support the identification and cultivation of foundation partners
- Help steward existing foundation relationships and track engagement
- Partner with leadership to strengthen long-term funding opportunities
Represent and Promote the Mission
- Serve as a public-facing ambassador at churches, civic groups, and community events
- Deliver presentations and share impactful stories of the children and families served
- Collaborate with communications to support outreach campaigns and events
Support Development Operations
- Track and manage donor engagement using Salesforce CRM
- Assist with event coordination, donor follow-up, and stewardship efforts
- Help gather stories, photos, and impact highlights to support fundraising initiatives

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree OR 1–2 years of experience in fundraising, development, or marketing (nonprofit preferred)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Comfortable with public speaking and community engagement
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage a travel schedule
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across North Carolina (some overnight travel required)

This is a remote, travel-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community and connecting with people. You’ll have flexibility in your schedule, with some evening and weekend events required.

Requirements:Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or 1-2 years’ experience in development, marketing or fundraising for nonprofit organizations.
- Must be proficient in usage with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams and typing skills.
- Must be customer service oriented and possess a willingness to represent the agency to the public.
- Must be detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Assist with some weekend and evening events.
- Must be culturally sensitive to children and families and support cultural diversity throughout the program.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agency insurance carrier.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment checks, criminal records check, and DMV/MVR check.

The effectiveness of the incumbent can be measured by the dollars raised as well as donor retention and progress in moves management among constituents within assigned portfolio.
