Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Auditor to join our Texas production team. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring that our metal fabrication processes and finished products meet the highest standards of precision and durability. You will be the primary gatekeeper for quality, ensuring every part leaving the shop floor aligns perfectly with customer specifications and internal requirements.

In-Process & Final Inspection: Conduct thorough audits of metal components throughout the fabrication lifecycle, from raw material arrival to final assembly.
Precision Measurement: Utilize a full suite of quality measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) to verify dimensions against technical requirements.
Blueprint Analysis: Interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics to confirm that all parts are within defined tolerances.
Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection logs and quality reports; document any non-conformities and track corrective actions.
Collaboration: Work closely with the fabrication and welding teams to identify root causes of defects and provide feedback to improve production accuracy.
Compliance: Ensure all shop activities adhere to safety standards and the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of dedicated experience in quality auditing or inspection within a **metal fabrication** environment.
  • Expert-level ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proven hands-on experience with a wide array of manual and digital measurement tools.
  • An uncompromising eye for detail and a "right-the-first-time" mentality regarding tolerances and finishes.
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate technical discrepancies to the production team clearly.
  • Ability to work on the shop floor for the duration of the day shift.
  • Comfortable working around heavy machinery and metal fabrication equipment in a non-air conditioned environment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver metal parts (up to 40 lbs) for inspection purposes.
