Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Belleville, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.
Details
- Night shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- ICU setting within a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Floating required within scope to IMCU and ICU as needed
- Epic EMR; experience required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be accepted — must be noted at time of consideration
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, IABP, and hypothermia protocols required
- Ability to assist with line insertions and intubations required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Navy scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
