Receiving Department Lead - 1st Shift

Position Summary:
The Receiving Department Lead is a hands-on working lead responsible for executing and coordinating daily inbound material activities.
This role actively performs receiving, verification, put-away, and inventory transactions while guiding a small team to ensure accuracy, organization, and efficient material flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily team activities, assign a daily work schedule, and train staff.
- Receive and verify inbound materials against purchase orders and packing slips
- Perform ERP transactions for receipts, transfers, and adjustments
- Execute material put-away and optimize storage locations
- Conduct cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Manage off-site storage and material movements
- Work cross-functionally with Shipping to align labor and dock utilization
- Operate warehouse equipment including sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift, and pallet jack.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workplace.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or material handling
- ERP system experience (Epicor preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Forklift experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical and Work Environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in an environment with temperature variations.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit; communicate in person and by phone
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a non‐temperature‐controlled manufacturing environment
- Ability to wear required PPE such as eye protection and protective clothing
