Job Description
POSITION TITLE: REPORTS TO:
Customer Service Admin
Customer Service Team
SUMMARY: Works as receptionist as well as the liaison between the Sales, Customers, Design, Production, Shipping & Planning functions, and is directly responsible for credit status review, order entry, production expediting and delivery schedules. Involves precise follow-up and ability to troubleshoot unexpected problems by coordinating efforts among all related departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Managing a multi-line phone system to answer, screen, and redirect calls promptly
• Welcome visitors and create a positive first impression
• Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
• Coordinates customer requirements to include order entry, shipping, inventory management.
• Maintains constant communication internally & externally with all involved parties
• Displays basic understanding of plant processes/product flow and impact on customer requests
• Services an average workload for the department.
• Participates in a team environment, ensuring proper service to customers at all times
• Utilizes IT systems proficiently as well as office productivity software.
SCOPE
• Accurate handling and control of orders.
• Effective communication with multiple functions to assist in achieving team and facility goals &
objectives.
• Generally considered a principal customer contact.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• BS/BA, working towards BS/BA or comparable related business experience
