Position Summary
The Experienced Legal Recruitment Specialist is responsible for driving the recruitment process for lateral associates and counsel, ensuring a seamless and distinctive experience. Working closely with Partners and other key stakeholders, this role develops and implements talent acquisition strategies, oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, and cultivates strong candidate pools to support various practice groups across all US offices.
The ideal candidate will have excellent client relationship management skills and a professional presence, with the ability to balance stakeholder and candidate relationships. They will need strong time management, organization and process driven skills while managing multiple requisitions. The role also emphasizes attracting and retaining top talent by ensuring a positive candidate experience and requires an individual who continuously strives to cultivate a proactive recruitment process that is engaging, strategic and efficient.
Duties and Accountabilities
Manage and oversee the full-cycle recruitment process for lateral associates, counsel, judicial clerks, LLM candidates, and other experienced full-time hires-including job postings, application review, interviews, candidate management, offer process, and agency engagement
Proactively address recruitment challenges and communicate regularly with the relevant leadership on requisitions within the practice group(s)
Build and maintain strong relationships with external search firms and recruiters to ensure effective collaboration, high-quality candidate submissions, and awareness of current hiring trends.
Develop creative and innovative approaches to building strong candidate pipelines, while also leading recruitment initiatives-including employer branding, leveraging LinkedIn, and enhancing the Firm's talent value proposition-to attract top talent.
Conduct screening interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and suitability for open positions
Collaborate with hiring managers, cross-function teams, and key stakeholders throughout the recruitment process to ensure we meet their hiring needs and goals
Serve as a subject matter expert and promote recruitment best practices
Ensure ATS and recruitment reporting are accurate and proactively share data-driven updates with internal stakeholders
Manage the offer process in coordination with cross functional teams (i.e., immigration, conflicts, general counsel, compensation, mobility, etc.)
Maintain compliance and data integrity throughout the recruitment process
Qualifications
At least five (5) years of recruitment experience within the professional services industry or a search firm; legal recruitment experience preferred
Proven ability to lead a function or work stream, and to mentor, coach and develop team members
Expertise in sourcing passive candidates and using applicant tracking systems (Workday a plus); proficient in MS Office Suite
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, ensuring an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience
Excellent business acumen, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, with effective time management and strong administrative skills to balance multiple projects and priorities
Tenacious, growth-oriented mindset; self-motivated, achievement-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Committed to contributing, collaborating, and consulting on recruitment strategy for Experienced Legal Recruitment team

Salary range in New York market: $95,200 - $130,000. Salary range in other markets will vary.
