American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment, primarily focused on outpatient orthopedics on a 4x10 Monday–Thursday schedule.
Details- Acute care hospital setting, covering acute inpatient, acute rehab, transitional care, and outpatient services
- Primary assignment area is outpatient orthopedics, with orthopedic cases comprising approximately 80–100% of caseload
- Patient population includes orthopedic, CVA, MS, and head injury diagnoses
- Approximately 12 patients treated per day
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday (Fridays off)
- No weekend or holiday requirements
- Charting systems include MEDITECH for acute care and ReDoc for outpatient documentation
- Active Oregon OT license required — license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
- Current BLS certification required (pending certifications not accepted)
- Experience with orthopedics, hands, elbows, and shoulders is essential
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Valid driver's license required
- Primary responsibilities involve outpatient orthopedic therapy, with additional coverage across acute inpatient, acute rehab, and transitional care
- Lymphedema training is a plus
- Support staff includes rehab aides; no COTAs on the unit
- Department-specific orientation provided (approximately 12 hours)
- Scrubs are required; denim is not permitted
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
