JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Director Supply Chain Services is accountable to leadership for budgeting and fiscal management, patient and employee satisfaction for hospital supply chain operations and the Musculoskeletal (MSK) service line. Responsible for the daily operations of hospital supply chain services at the facilities. Serves as the liaison between Supply Chain services third parties, internal resources, and hospital operations. Integrates the department’s services with the hospital’s primary functions. Leads the MSK operational strategy, programmatic growth, and the day-to-day operational excellence. In partnership with physicians, nursing leaders, executive leadership, and shared services, the Senior Administrative Director ensures that clinical teams are supported with the right supplies, implants, equipment, and infrastructure to deliver exceptional, high‑value patient care. The role integrates clinical operations, orthopedic implant governance, supply chain strategy, and performance improvement to support growth, quality, access, and cost optimization across inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and ASC settings.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Operations:

· Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned.

· Manages the profit and loss of the main hospital locations for Supply Chain operations.

· Operationalizes plan for all point of use systems for Supply Chain.

· Coordinates and drives efforts to enable supply improvement initiatives.

· Supports third parties in the coordination, management, and evaluation of facility Supply Chain personnel.

· Builds and maintains strategic working relationships with hospital leadership to assist and consult in all supply concerns.

· Optimizes supply storage, replenishment, and restocking processes. Collaborates with Finance to manage the financial impact of bulk purchasing, inventory fluctuations, and overstock.

· Drives continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, supply reliability, workflow efficiency, and patient/physician satisfaction.

· Uses data and dashboards to evaluate performance and inform operational decisions.

MSK & Orthopedic Operations Leadership

· Oversees operational management of the MSK Center, including inpatient, outpatient, procedural, and ASC‑aligned services.

· Leads service line growth initiatives, including evaluation, development, and implementation of new clinical and business processes.

· Collaborates with physician leadership to identify orthopedic growth opportunities and support appropriate transitions of care (e.g., inpatient to ASC).

· Works closely with surgeons and pre‑authorization teams to ensure appropriate orthopedic implant selection and availability.

 


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required with  Minimum of 5 years of experience required with progression in leadership roles displayed OR High-School diploma with a minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience.

· Strong ability to effectively and promptly problem solve.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level.

· CMRP or comparable Purchasing/Supply Chain accreditation preferred.

· Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
