JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Director Supply Chain Services is accountable to Senior Management for budgeting and fiscal management, patient and employee satisfaction for the following departments: Centralized Supply Distribution, Value Analysis, Patient Transportation, Courier Delivery, SPD Inventory Management, and Purchasing and Bulk Delivery. This encompasses:
· Centralized procurement of Capital, Supplies and Services for NCH and Affiliates
· Centralized Contract Management of supplies and services for NCH and Affiliates
· Logistics for shipping and receiving and bulk supply delivery for NCH and Affiliates
· Overall management of SPD inventory to ensure appropriate par levels and adequate supply availability
· Ultimate oversight for activity with patient transportation and courier services across the system
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned.
· Provides leadership and direction for strategic sourcing activities which result in the cost effective procurement and timely delivery of quality goods, services and materials to support the strategic patient care and business objectives of the NCH Comprehensive Health.
· Develops inventory business models which optimize supply chain performance in the delivery of medical surgical product and other supplies.
· Develops logistic pathways to ensure cost effective and timely deliveries to all related entities of the healthcare system.
· Develops a staff environment that provides for the safe, timely and compassionate intra-department transportation of inpatients within each hospital campus.
· Engages motivates and develops support service and supply chain employees and champions continuous improvement metrics to achieve compliance to budget and improvement in patient satisfaction scores year over year.
· Sets strategies and tactical leadership for the Value Analysis committee to meet System operational and fiscal objectives as they relate to quality initiatives and supply and service expenses.
· Manages inventory and par levels of instrumentation for central SPD operations.
· Set strategies for sourcing products, equipment and services within the framework of GPO and IDN relationships.
· Directs the leadership teams in patient transportation and courier services to ensure optimal service and improve efficiencies in the service lines.
· Guides on financials and personnel management to guarantee appropriate staffing and scheduling to deliver financial viability.
· Works with Sterile Processing leadership to oversee inventory management to improve efficiency and keep costs optimal.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience required in a similar role.
· Strong ability to effectively and promptly problem solve.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level.
· CMRP or comparable Purchasing/Supply Chain accreditation preferred.
· Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
