The Dishwasher is directly responsible for the sanitation of the department, washing dishes, and transporting food carts to and from the appropriate unit.
The Dishwasher is responsible for the following tasks:

Scraping, soaking, and scrubbing dishes and pans.

Unloading carts and sanitizing them with a microquat chemical or by utilizing machines in the department that utilize steam.

Using a variety of abrasive chemicals to clean and sanitize.

Checking the dish machines and cart machine to ensure they are working correctly.

Read color changing test strips to determine accurate levels of chemicals.

Returning dishes to the proper locations after they have been cleaned and sanitized.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
