BlueForge Alliance is an agile program integrator positioned to meet the demand to build capacity for the defense industrial base. We are a unifying organization converging technology, manufacturing, economics, and state and federal government to provide a forward-facing, federated umbrella with national visibility.
As a non-profit, neutral convener, BlueForge Alliance aligns strategy with execution to coordinate regional stakeholders, assess and propose high-value efforts, and rapidly establish and deploy U.S. Department of Defense investments. By streamlining competing priorities and viewpoints, we aim to increase manufacturing capacity and technology adoption, boost the number of available suppliers and diversify investment into the defense industrial base.
Position Summary:
An Intern at BlueForge Alliance will assist an assigned Line of Effort in support of our organization’s mission. The role will be tailored to complement the intern’s academic background, degree plan and work experience, while providing an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to BFA’s projects and deliverables to our customer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Project Support:
o Assist in the execution of projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.
o Collaborate with team members to contribute to projects and initiatives aimed at achieving company goals.
o Attend relevant team meetings to ensure understanding of deliverables.
· Research and Analysis:
o Conduct research and analysis to support projects and analyze data to identify tends and inefficiencies.
o Compile and summarize data to aid in the decision-making processes.
· Documentation:
o Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation.
· Learning and Development:
o Shadowing and mentoring with related professionals in assigned work area.
· Opportunity to contribute to real projects and initiatives.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong academic performance in relevant coursework.
· Basic understanding of the BlueForge 1+2 mission to support the Navy.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications.
· Available to work a minimum of 10 hours/week with a maximum of 29 hours per week.
Education, Certifications, and Experience:
· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a related field.
· Previous work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Travel Expectations:
· Expected travel: None.
