JOB TITLE: GO Club Site Lead

REPORTS TO: Program Director and/or as assigned

FLSA TYPE: Non-Exempt, Hourly

 

JOB PURPOSE:

The GO Club Site Lead provides on-site leadership for the daily operations of the GO Club afterschool program. This role oversees staff, ensures program quality and compliance, supports children and families, and serves as the primary YMCA representative at the assigned school site. Working with a high level of independence under general supervision, the Site Lead ensures safe, well-organized, and engaging programming aligned with YMCA youth development standards.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not a complete list):

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for school administrators, teachers, families, and community partners.
  • Lead and/or attend regular meetings, trainings, and planning sessions with staff and supervisors.
  • Enforce YMCA policies, procedures, and applicable licensing requirements with consistency and professionalism.
  • Monitor daily program quality and ensure efficient implementation of planned activities.
  • Model professional conduct, leadership, and accountability for all staff under supervision
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures regarding the prevention of abuse.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or misconduct immediately to the appropriate supervisory staff.
  • Attend mandatory training on abuse prevention, including recognizing signs of abuse, and reporting requirements.
  • Abide by the YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of experience working or volunteering with children
  • Demonstrated leadership, conflict-resolution, and professional communication skills
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model for youth and staff
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen Certification (will provide upon hire)

Preferred:

  • Bilingual - English/Spanish
