Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is seeking to hire 2 (two) Buildings and Historic Preservation Seasonal Staff. Buildings and Historic Preservation hourly seasonal staff will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks, requiring independent judgment in the construction and maintenance of County Parks and Open Space infrastructure.
This is an hourly, non-benefited position that will work 40 hours per week, Tuesday - Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm. This position will work out of 5201 Saint Vrain Rd., Longmont, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $25.00 Hourly
Tentative Hiring Timeline:

Position Duties- Performs maintenance and construction projects on properties administered by the Parks & Open Space Department
- Assists the Buildings and Historic Preservation team with maintenance focused tasks and duties related to repair and new construction plans
- Performs skilled and semi-skilled tasks using hand tools, power tools, and various equipment as necessary
- Maintains strong safety awareness in the field by following protocols, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work practices
- Uses park-specific software and applications, including an Asset Management System, to document, track and report field work
- Conducts routine inspections of park-related infrastructure and facilities
- Supports operations by preparing and organizing project materials, resources, and equipment assigned by full-time staff
- Performs related duties, as required
- May be reassigned during emergency situations
