Our Housekeeping team plays a vital role in delivering a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment that reflects Hyatt’s purpose—to care for people so they can be their best.

Hyatt Regency San Francisco is seeking a dependable, service oriented Houseperson to support the housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the hotel. This position plays an essential role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring public areas, guest floors, storage spaces, and housekeeping support areas are clean, stocked, and well maintained. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to hospitality excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of guest corridors, elevators, service areas, linen closets, and other assigned public and back-of-house spaces.
  • Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities, cribs, rollaway beds, and other requested items to guest rooms and service areas.
  • Remove used linen, trash, recycling, and room service items from guest floors and housekeeping areas in a timely manner.
  • Restock housekeeping carts, linen closets, and supply rooms to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by housekeeping leadership.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping storage areas and workspaces.
  • Follow hotel standards for cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and guest service at all times.
  • Work closely with housekeeping and other hotel departments to support smooth operations and positive guest experiences.

This is an hourly position with a compensation of $33.76 per hour.

  • Previous housekeeping, hotel, janitorial, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to guest service.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and lift heavy items on a regular basis.
  • Ability to move linen carts, supplies, rollaway beds, and other housekeeping equipment safely.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast paced environment.
