Responsible for the receiving, warehousing, and delivering supplies and equipment. Assists in other support functions as assigned. Works effectively and cooperatively within the workplace. Essential Functions

Accurately enter department supply requests in computer. Assist in performing inventory turnover, slow-moving and obsolete stock analyses as well as impending shortages or stock outs and discrepancies and back orders. Communicate pertinent supply/order information to customers. Manage out shipments and vendor returns. Order, receive and stock supplies and equipment per departmental policy and procedure. Print copies of receiving documents and matches to packing slips for filing. Pick and distribute supplies and equipment while maintaining the integrity of all sterile packages per departmental policy and procedure. Remove outside shipping cartons from stock locations. Maintain warehouse inventory and assists with year-end inventory per departmental policy and procedure. Transport and deliver customer supply/equipment orders in a safe and timely manner. Utilize vehicles and equipment safely. Ensure proper maintenance of assigned equipment. Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work. Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities. Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner. Maintain current licensure and/or certification as required. Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.



Education

High School diploma or GED preferred. Relevant skills and ability may be substituted in lieu of education.



Experience/Training

Minimum six (6) months’ supply handling experience required, preferably in a healthcare environment.



License/Certifications

Valid Washington State Driver's License required. Current Automobile Liability Insurance required. Forklift certification and Electric Pallet Jack certification required upon first available class and prior to use of equipment. Hazmat certification and Pharmacy Assistant certification required within the first 6 months of hire.



Other Skills

Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well-developed problem solving skills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Knowledge of the healthcare supply management preferred. Must maintain a good driving record, verifiable by the Department of Licensing. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
