About Camden Rockport Middle School

Camden Rockport Middle School, housed in a beautiful new building, serves just under 400 students in grades 5 � 8 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRMS has been implementing a Project Based Learning model of curriculum and instruction and values students' active engagement in the learning process.  

Position Summary

Five Town CSD & MSAD #28 are now hiring year-round Custodians for our schools.  The normal work schedule for these positions is 3 PM to 11:30 PM.  Successful candidates will be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend rotation, and be willing to adapt to different assignments from day to day. 
 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment within the school buildings and grounds, including but not limited to:
  • General floor care and cleaning,
  • Restroom maintenance, including sanitizing and stocking,
  • Waste management,
  • Window/Wall cleaning.
• Perform minor repairs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems.
• Aid in set-up for special events.
• Ensure clean school grounds, including litter removal.
• Aid with snow/ice removal as needed.

Qualifications/Skills

• Knowledge of safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery.
• Ability to perform a wide range of cleaning duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff.
• Time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dexterity in problem-solving.

Requirements

• Background check, including fingerprinting.
• Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay starts at $20.27 per hour with the possibility of an increase based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract
