Position Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate traffic control crews across multiple job sites
- Inspects and directs on-site crews ensuring all work zones are up and maintained in compliance with MUTCD standards and local/state regulations
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper placement of signage, cones, barriers, and other traffic control devices
- Lead daily briefings and enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Train, coach, and evaluate field employees
- Monitor project progress and adjust staffing or equipment to meet deadlines
- Serve as a liaison between clients, project managers, and field staff
- Respond to and resolve on-site issues, incidents, or customer concerns
- Complete required documentation such as daily reports, incident reports, and timesheets
- Ensure proper use, care, and inventory of company equipment and vehicles
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Current Flagger certification
- Current SHA MOT certification
- Thorough knowledge of the MUTCD
- 2-5 years of experience in traffic control, road construction, or related field
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in traffic control, preferred
- Current Traffic Control Supervise (TCS) certification, preferred
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods of time in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry 35+ pounds
- Frequent bending, lifting, and manual handling of traffic control equipment
