Description

HTS - Habilitation Training Specialist staff provide direct care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in their homes and in the community.

 We help people in their homes or in a family home with all aspects of daily living from getting up and out of bed in the morning to getting ready, bathing, toileting, dressing, cooking and eating, going to work, possible job coaching for work or volunteering, shopping, budgeting, reading and writing.

Feel free to ask during the interview process about the capabilities of the people cared for if you are concerned with any tasks listed.  Service needs vary by person, age, location etc and what fits well for you may not necessarily fit well for other staff.  Detailed training and constant update training is provided for all staff.

Qualifications

Requirements to work alone on shift include CPR/FA/MAT.

All training is available while you work including the requirements listed above.

Starting rate of pay is dependent on experience both personal and qualified training as well as the level of need where the position is being filled.
