About Madison Honda Madison Honda is a reputable automotive service center committed to delivering exceptional customer service and quality vehicle maintenance. We are seeking an experienced A or B Level Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Clinton, NJ. Job Details Salary: $60,000 to $120,000 per year Job Type: Full Time Location: Clinton, NJ 08809 Position Overview The Service Technician is responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional work habits and quality service. This role requires setting personal improvement goals and tracking progress in customer satisfaction and productivity as directed by the Service Manager. Key Responsibilities Use latest technical and administrative tools to troubleshoot customer concerns effectively. Provide courteous and professional customer interactions at all times. Assist in greeting customers in the service area when necessary. Stay current with technical publications, Service Comm, and Asist terminal operations. Deliver safe and reliable vehicle service on the first attempt. Address all original customer concerns before suggesting additional services. Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance needs according to factory and local recommendations. Ensure vehicles are returned to customers clean or cleaner than upon arrival. Participate in factory or in-house training programs as offered. Complete all required paperwork accurately and attach necessary documents to repair orders. Perform other duties assigned by management as required. Maintain punctuality, readiness to work, and a clean uniform.
Job Requirement:Qualifications Minimum of 5 years' experience as an automotive service technician. Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models. Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Professional appearance and strong work ethic. Positive attitude and high-energy personality. Ability to read and understand technical instructions. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record. Education and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required. ASE certification or equivalent technical aptitude is required. Technical or trade school degree preferred.
