Protective Security Officer Position Summary:

Armed Security Officer part time for an educational building physical security in Oakwood Virginia. The Protective Service Officer will assist in the protection of college facilities, property, employees, and facility guests. Wages for this position is 18.00 Hr.

 Minimum Qualifications:

·         Must be a U.S. citizen

·         Have a Social Security Card issued and approved by the Social Security Administration

·         Be at least 21 years of age.

·         Possess high school diploma from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent certificate

·         Speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English, and compose coherent written reports in English.

·         And meet one of the following experience/education requirements:

·         Two years of Armed security experience within the past five years; or

·         Two years of military or National Guard (active duty or reserve) experience

·         Pass the drug test, and physical agility test if applicable.

·         Completed the required training; and pass the required examination(s).

Licenses or Certifications:

·         Driver’s license, and

·         Social security card or birth certificate, and

·         Other certifications (guard/clearance card, gun permit, OC permit Baton permit, CPR, First Aid.)
