About the Opportunity

Leading Edge Before and After School is actively hiring Floating Lead Teachers to support our growing programs across Colorado Springs.

This is a great opportunity for experienced educators who are flexible, reliable, and enjoy working across multiple school sites. Floating Lead Teachers play a critical role in maintaining consistency and quality by stepping in where coverage is needed due to staff absences, enrollment growth, or program changes.

This is a current hiring need. While schedules may vary week to week, consistent hours are often available based on program demands.

Position Overview

Floating Lead Teachers support multiple sites, ensuring programs run smoothly and remain compliant at all times. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is confident stepping into different teams and settings.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement Leading Edge curriculum and maintain engaging, student-focused programming
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and company policies
- Maintain accurate attendance and program documentation
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Support daily site operations and transitions
- Maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios at all times
- Communicate effectively with leadership regarding site needs and updates
- Step into different locations and teams with professionalism and adaptability

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 455 hours of verifiable experience working with school-aged children
Consistent availability, Monday - Friday
Availability for both morning and afternoon shifts, Monday through Friday
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites

Compensation & Schedule

$18–$22/hour based on experience and qualifications

Typical shift windows:
Morning: approximately 6:30/7:00 am – 8:45/9:00 am
Afternoon: approximately 2:30/3:00 pm – 6:00/6:30 pm

Schedules will vary based on program needs and coverage assignments
