Description

Pace Graduate Program faculty (L. Carozza, CSD) is seeking a research assistant to complete a research grant project in minority faculty development. The student research assistant will be supervised by grant holder and must have independent research skills, outstanding organizational skills and independent writing skills including research proposals.

 

Position Duties

  • Work closely with lead research faculty to develop a project proposal for the November 2026 American Speech-Language-Hearing Association national convention.
  • Conduct comprehensive database searches.
  • Interpret and code related research documents.
  • Develop a research tool to examine external institutions’ policies and practices related to minority mentorship.
  • Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.     

 

Work Hours

Exact schedule to be determined with supervisor in keeping with available monies left in contract; no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session and no more than 35 hours per week during breaks. 

 

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable and patient with visitors.
  • Office experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
