Description

The Dyson College of Arts and Sciences is seeking part-time interns to assist Professor Bolton from the political science and Professor Welty from the peace and justice studies departments on the New York City Campus with event planning and coordination. Responsibilities include supporting logistics, taking notes, and conducting background research related to program initiatives.

 

Position Duties 

  • Assist professors with event planning and logistics. 
  • Take notes and support related documentation.
  • Conduct research for a project on nuclear disarmament.
  • Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.     

 

Work Hours

Exact hours to be determined with supervisor; generally up to 20 hours per week. 

Requirements

  • Prior experience with and/or study of advocacy, activism and research.
  • Majors in Peace and Justice Studies, Political Science, International Relations and Global Studies preferred.
  • Applicants with coursework in who have taken Peace and Justice Studies classes, Global Politics of Disarmament and Arms Control and/or Conflict Analysis preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
