Description
The Center for Student Engagement at Pace University is seeking to hire the New Student and Setter Supporter Orientation Graduate Assistant. This position will support The Orientation program at Pace University’s New York City campus. Throughout the academic year, Orientation Graduate Assistant can work closely with the Student Engagement staff in supervising the Orientation staff, facilitating the recruitment process, and planning Orientation Week programming.
Advising
- Serve as an advisor for 10-12 student organizations.
- Coordinate with Student Engagement to plan and staff programming during Orientation Week in September
- Assist with orientation assessment and Orientation Week program development

Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Student Engagement

Assist with the preparation, management and logistical support of Spring orientation programs in January

Supervise (5) Orientation Leader and (2) Orientation student staff during the Spring

Assist in the planning and execution of Orientation Leader recruitment and interview process

Coordinate Group and Individual Interviews for Orientation Leader and Assistant interview process
Other Responsibilities: Support the Office in all university related programs and functions
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable and patient with visitors
- Office experience a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
Summary
This position requires approximately 20 hours per week at $25 per hour.
