Lead Warehouse Operator 2 - Full-time

PURPOSE OF POSITION: 

Perform production support functions. Meet the daily production support requirements deadline by efficiently transferring and compiling parts. Schedule movements both internal to facility and for shipping / receiving. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsible for reading, understanding and following work instructions pertaining to the tasks on the receiving dock.

Perform in a cross-functional environment, coordinating with other departments such Quality, Warehouse, and Materials. 

Audit and prepare parts in an efficient manner, meeting internal incremental deadlines. 

Communicate professionally via email with Program Manager, Department Manager, Supervisor and customer contacts regarding the status of parts and shipments. 

• Coordinate with offsite personnel for coordination of transporting subsequent WO

• Actively seek ways to improve processes. 

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. 

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

• Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping environment. 

• Forklift driver is preferred. 

• Good email communication skills. 

• Some SAP knowledge. 

• MS EXCEL experience, good to moderate user 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:   

• Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Outlook, Excel. 

• Basic math skills. 

• Accurate counting skills. 

• Legible handwriting. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Strong interpersonal skills. 

• Detail oriented. 

• Good organizational skills. 

• Ability to work as part of a team. 

• Must be self-motivated and possess initiative. 

• Flexible; able to change direction with short notice. 

• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

• Able to complete projects under tight deadlines. 

• Able to perform repetitive motion with hands and arms. 

• Qualified to become certified on a forklift. 

• Able to quickly resolve or escalate problems that arise. 

• Effective communicator in the English language, both orally and written, as the position requires email communication with customers. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. 

• Able to stand, stoop and bend. 

• Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods. 

• Able to operate a pallet jack.

• Hectic, fast paced.
