Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred
  • Two years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. 
  • Current BLS certification.  (ACLS certification within one year of hire for Acute, ER, Surgery, and Cardiopulmonary Departments).

We are looking to fill a key position as a REGISTERED NURSE specializing in our Gastroenterology Department.  

The role of this position is to facilitate getting patients seen by a Gastroenterologist in the clinic and surgery setting while meeting the provider and patient’s expectations. Assuring a smooth flow of patients throughout the clinic visit and work within the surgery department when the provider is in this space working as a preop, PACU, circulator, or Pre Assessment Testing (PAT) RN depending on the needs of the Surgery Department. The GI Clinic/Surgery RN will be interviewing patients to obtain medical information, measuring patient vital signs, weight, height, administering medications, managing patients in the preop, PACU, and OR setting. Accurately and thoroughly complete perioperative nursing record and clinical documentation. Must be able to adapt to various working locations.
