We are currently looking for a Full Time Small Business Opportunity Program Specialist to join our Area of Capital Access team located at the Abbott Miller Bldg working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:

The State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Small Business Opportunity Program (SBOP) Specialist will support the Capital Access Division under the Treasury Department at The Chickasaw Nation. The primary responsibilities will be to assist the SSBCI Grant Manager with the SBOP grant designed to help small businesses connect to capital needed to invest in job-creating opportunities. The position length is three years.

Responsibilities:
* Become well-versed in the SBOP and its programmatic requirements
* Assist with implementation of the SBOP in accordance with grant requirements including the requirements of 2 CFR 200
* Meet regularly with internal team and grant partners to assess and monitor progress
* Assist with planning and coordination of meetings, conferences and seminars, attend and support presentations at small business events
* Assist in the development of and implementation of marketing campaigns for the programs
* Adhere to project management schedules and effectively report on progress
* Work with TA providers to implement services for small businesses and capture data needed for grant reporting
* Work with other departments to track and report on grant budgets, spending, and monitor grant progress
* Ensures adherence to all grant requirements, including financial and programmatic reporting, including accurate and timely submission of all required reports
* Staying current on grant policies and regulations
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency

* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
* Ability to determine appropriate course of action in complex situations
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such of providing services, preparing reports while maintaining required standards of operation in daily services
* Ability to interpret rules and regulations on federal programs, as well as other rules or compliance issues related to tribal operations
* Ability to assist in planning and preparing grant proposals
* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral
* Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements
* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability
* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines

Nonessential:
* Knowledge and understanding of specialty crop agriculture (especially pecan farming)
* Strong knowledge of grant accounting and compliance requirements
* Thorough knowledge of cost allocation plans, indirect cost, contract support cost, 2 CFR Part 200, 2 CFR 255-Cost Principles for State, Local and Tribal Governments and other applicable regulations
* Knowledge of federal grant programs and requirements
* Knowledge and experience working with grants and tribal, federal, and state licensing requirements
* Knowledge of small business principles, resources, requirements and processes 
* Knowledge of grant writing for small business programs 

Skills:
Essential:
* Intermediate skill using Excel for multiple purposes
* Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
* Basic skill in creating PowerPoint presentations
* Intermediate skill using Word for multiple purposes

Experience:
Essential:
* 3 years directly related experience


Education:
Essential:
* Bachelors Degree in directly related field


Essential:
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field

Credentials:

* Standard Driver's License
* Certified Project Manager


Working Conditions:
