Job Summary
Oversees the daily activities and management of Imaging Services in order to ensure the delivery of quality patient care. Performs a variety of administrative duties and monitors the technical aspects of patient procedures and equipment operations.
Responsibilities
Structures staff work assignments to achieve high levels of efficiency. Structures and assigns departmental work in a planned, systematic manner. Conducts monthly staff meetings.
Establishes challenging and measurable goals that are aligned with corporate strategic goals and objectives.
Delegates assignments effectively and appropriately.
Actively participates as a member of the management team; shares information appropriately, returns calls promptly and constructively contributes to committees and teams. Prepares sound budget projections in a thorough, accurate manner that supports departmental goals and objectives.
Assesses all aspects of a project and establishes appropriate and achievable deadlines based on thorough research. Effectively and appropriately organizes and manages both long-term goals and projects, as well as short-term daily workflow in order to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
5-10 years of experience as a Technologist. At least 3 years in a management role. Demonstrated ability to plan and administer departmental goals and objectives, prepare and initiate marketing and promotional strategies, research and negotiate for state-of-the-art equipment, and investigate and recommend procedures and techniques for the professional and technical staff. Supervisory experience normally acquired through at least three years previous experience in a managerial capacity with technical and supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge of general finance and accounting procedures and personnel practices as normally acquired through completion of college level business courses or previous managerial experience. Communication and interpersonal skills needed to deal effectively with administration, medical personnel, all staff and patients. Negotiation skills needed to deal with vendors effectively.
Education
• Formalized Training (Required) Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology
• Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program (Required)
