Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

 

Position Overview:

United Protective Services is adding officers to a special response team that helps cover different sites as needs come up. This is not a fixed-post position assignments can change depending on coverage gaps, call-offs, or short-term needs.

The role works well for someone who does not mind a shifting schedule and can adjust to different environments. Some shifts are planned ahead, others may come up with short notice. Being reliable and ready to step in is a big part of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up open shifts as assigned and report to different locations as needed

• Provide security coverage across a range of client sites

• Walk the property and stay aware of what is happening around you

• Report anything unusual or out of place based on site instructions

• Complete basic daily logs and write clear notes when incidents occur

• Assist with site-specific tasks while keeping security standards in mind

• Step in to help calm situations and keep things from escalating

• Keep track of any equipment issued to you during your shift

• Interact professionally with clients, tenants, and others on site

Required Qualifications:

• Open availability, including nights and weekends

• Ability to adapt to different sites without needing constant direction

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Professional appearance and conduct while on duty

• Reliable transportation is helpful due to changing work locations

Physical expectations:

• Standing or walking for long periods during shifts

• Working outdoors at times, depending on the site
