DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Surgical Tech is responsible for the care and use of instruments in the operating room working under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, certified surgical technologist, and/or surgeon. On call rotation with 60 minute response time required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
  - Completion of a Surgical Technician or Surgical Technology training program.
  - Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  - Basic computer skills.
  - Knowledge of principles of asepsis.
  - DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
  - Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.
  - Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
  - Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
  - Ability to follow directions accurately.
  - Willingness to participate in call schedule and work irregular hours as necessary.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
