Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Pathologist, the Charge Histotechnologist provides technical and supervisory leadership within the histology laboratory. Oversees daily operations, including specimen preparation, embedding, microtomy, staining, and immunohistochemistry; all while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. Assists in grossing functions of the laboratory, within the scope of licensure. Works closely with the Pathologist and other members of laboratory leadership to maintain diagnostic quality and efficient workflow.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
Bachelor�s degree in related science (Chemistry or Biology). Histotechnologist (HTL) NYS License with at least four years of laboratory experience. Leadership experience preferred.
