We are looking for skilled BARTENDERS to join the Sunnyside team! The starting rate is $16.90/hr plus tips (The combined rate can be up to ~$25-$50/hour).
Availability requirements: The Summer Season runs from Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. We are especially looking for candidates with full time and weekend availability. Please have tentative start date and end date available during interview process.
- Must have at least three days of availability. At least two days of weekend availability is preferred (Friday-Sunday).
- Must be available to work holidays (Memorial Day, Father's Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day)
- Three months of guaranteed summertime availability is preferred between May-August
- Other scheduling availability is subject to review upon application
- If you are interested in working after summer, post-season work is not guaranteed and will be reviewed based on performance at the end of the season

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide the highest level of quality and service to our guests by being responsible for all preparation, interaction and steps of service needed to exceed guest expectations in the restaurant and bar.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Assist in preparing bar for service by setting up bar and bar area, including preparing items such as linens, silverware, and glassware, stocking liquors, preparing garnishes, preparing drink mixers.
- Greet all guests and co-workers in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
- Review drink menus and specials with guests seated at the bar and make recommendations.
- Offer food menus to guests seated at the bar and answer questions about menu items, offering descriptions and making recommendations. Inform guests of daily specials including pricing if not listed on the menu. Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
- Follow T S protocol and inform manager on duty for all noted guest allergies.
- Take guests' food and beverage orders and enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Check guests' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Prepare, garnish, and serve drinks for guests seated at bar in an efficient manner.
- Prepare and garnish drinks for guests seated at restaurant tables in an efficient manner.
- Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their food and drink items, and take action to correct any problems.
- Remove dishes and glasses from bar, and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
- Prepare and present guests' checks according to policy, ensuring any special requests are followed (such as split checks), and collect corresponding payments.
- Polish and restock all glassware as needed.
- Restock all bar items including wine, beer, condiments, etc.
- Clean entire bar area including bar top, glass washer, etc.
- Stock ice
- Take garbage and recycling to appropriate destination
- Monitor guests’ physical condition when entering the restaurant and bar; monitor alcohol consumption while on the premises to ensure all T S and county serving policies are followed. Take appropriate steps according to T S policy to reduce the occurrence of alcohol related issues.
- Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance.
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee or guest injury.
- Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene and health.
