Plate Puller / Sorter - Full-time

Plate Puller Role Description:

This role will be responsible for pulling plates ahead of production on a job basis. Plates are pulled and organized on a job basis, and are accessible for the builders when they need them. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Pull plates from inventory and gather in organized fashion as directed from material list..  Keep work area neat, clean, free from any possible hazards or debris.  Assist table personnel in finding plates for particular jobs as necessary.  Notify Plant Manager of inventory shortages or potential outages.  Always adhere to company safety procedures, wearing required PPE while in plant area.  Operate in all facets with a high degree of customer service and attentiveness to other truss team members.  Work in open warehouse atmosphere with conditions similar to outdoors.  Any other tasks or projects as assigned by management Skills Needed: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.  Be able to differentiate between different plate sizes and specs.  Good customer service skills Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear.
