CUMULUS MEDIA | Ann Arbor, MI location is offering a great opportunity to learn the marketing side of the radio broadcasting industry as a Part Time Promotion Assistant. Our ideal candidate should possess an extremely good work ethic, be a self-starter, and highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
Part-Time employment is available for all four of our radio stations of music, talk, and sports talk formats. Our "Street Team" employees (Promotions Assistants) are made up of Interns and Part-Time employees who are interested in the field of broadcasting and media marketing and promotions.
Responsibilities:�
- set up, tear down, and coordination during on-site events
- helping the day-to-day flow of the promotions department including answering phones, database entry, research and planning of community events and appearances
Qualifications:
- No prior experience is necessary, but candidates must possess strong social skills and must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Must�be proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and the Internet.
- Prior promotion, social media and/or public relations experience are a plus, but not a requirement for the right person
- This position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekend hours
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Hours vary from 10 to 25 hours per week.� In addition, select candidates interested in production and broadcasting will have the opportunity to log additional hours working with the air talent, assisting with show prep, show and commercial production, and other content related to executing a radio show.
