This role supports Hearst’s Talent Strategy and People team, with a focus on employer branding, early career programs and employee engagement. The work is project-based and collaborative. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys writing, organizing information and working on creative projects with structure and support.

 

This intern will be part of the Neurodiversity@Hearst program, a paid, full-time 15-week internship program for neurodivergent/autistic talent interested in enhancing their technical skills. From June 2nd to September 11th, 2026 interns will participate in an immersive, hands-on experience at a leading global, diversified media, information, and services company. This cohort will include interns at Hearst Television, Fitch Ratings, and Hearst Corporate. This role is hybrid, with Monday-Thursday in our New York office and Fridays working remotely. From June 2nd to September 11th, interns will participate in an immersive, hands-on experience with structured mentorship and support at a leading global, diversified media, information and services company. The reasonable estimate for this position is $30-35/hour.

 

What you will do

  • Create, write and edit content for Hearst LinkedIn, the Careers site/blog, employee resource groups, Summer@Hearst intern program and recruiting channels.
  • Contribute to the creation of communications for Hearst internship programs and early career initiatives, such as onboarding materials and program announcements.
  • Assist with planning and promoting recruiting, onboarding, and culture-related events.
  • Research employer branding and recruiting trends and summarize findings.
  • Draft copy for internal updates, toolkits, and promotional materials.
  • Assist the Human Resource (HR) team in coordinating and executing company events including conversations with leadership, early career programming and recruiting events

 

 

Experience and background

  • Interest or coursework in communications, marketing, HR, journalism, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Design experience is helpful but not required (Canva or Adobe tools).
  • Ability to research and share new event marketing ideas and trends.
