Press Brake / CNC Operator - Fabrication

JOB SUMMARY

Set up and operate mechanical, hydraulic and CNC controlled Press Brake, Punch Press, and/or Laser Punch. Select and load material, tooling, and programs to manufacture parts to a schedule. Operate a lean cell where the operator is expected to simultaneously operate multiple machines at the same time.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll set up and run press brake and fabrication equipment to produce quality metal parts.

• Set up press brakes, punch presses, or CNC fabrication equipment
• Load tooling, materials, and programs
• Run parts to print specifications and tight tolerances
• Inspect parts and ensure quality standards
• Troubleshoot issues and adjust machines as needed
• Perform basic preventative maintenance
• Help train other operators and support team production

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One to two years related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to read blueprints or use measuring tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions.
• Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments.
• Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations and processes within the limitations of recognized standard methods and procedures
• Moderate physical effort consisting of frequently lifting or moving average weight material not over 50 lbs.

WHAT WE OFFER

• 4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday) + Friday OT (depending on operational need)
  • 1ST: Monday-Thursday 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
  • 2ND: Monday-Thursday 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Friday 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
