Reports to: Field Supervisor

Work independently following proven Paragon systems and safety practices to achieve high quality, safe and efficient, lawn application production. Participate in further training and education. Provide client satisfaction to the highest standard.

Job Duties:

• Wear complete Paragon uniform
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Complete assigned training programs, tests, and field check lists
• Practice and reinforce all Paragon safety practices and protocols
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of landscape trucks prior to driving
• Drive and navigate landscape trucks to designated locations safely and responsibly. Maintain awareness of truck height and weight restrictions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned lawn care truck
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of tank sprayers, ride on sprayer spreaders, manual spreaders, and backpack sprayers prior to operation
• Calibrate lawn care application equipment
• Load and secure lawn care equipment
• Operate various lawn care equipment including tank sprayers, ride on sprayer spreaders, manual spreaders, and backpack sprayers, Ventrac tractors, Ventrac seedavator, Billy Goat core aerator, and Billy Goat slit seeder
• Follow all Paragon lawn care application systems and protocols during execution of lawn care applications
• Ensure all lawn care applications are executed completely, safely and within project time allotments
• Diagnose pest, disease, and environmental problems
• Complete and submit all daily paperwork tracking job time, materials, and job notes
• Communicate with clients in a polite and courteous manner
• Comply with all company policies and regulations

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ experience in the lawn care industry.
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Ability to speak and communicate (verbal and written) in English.
• Display strong communication skills with Paragon staff members and clients
• Display reasonable level of turfgrass knowledge and basic weed, pest, and disease identification.
• Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
• Operate various lawn care equipment including tank sprayers, ride on sprayer spreaders, manual spreaders, and backpack sprayers, Ventrac tractors, Ventrac seedavator, Billy Goat core aerator, and Billy Goat slit seeder
• Ability to calibrate lawn care spreader and sprayers
• Display accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule.
• Display a commitment to safety and practicing safe work behaviors.
• Display a safe driving history.

Working conditions:

Work requires the ability to lift 100 lbs. on occasion, and frequently transport plant material around the job site up to 50 lbs. Physical requirements also include lifting, bending, walking, carrying, and pushing equipment on a continual basis. This position works outdoors in various whether conditions. The noise level at the job site may be loud when operating certain equipment, such as a lawnmower or backpack blower.
