Position Summary

The Cleanroom Technician is responsible for performing precision cleaning, inspection, and handling of high-value components in a controlled cleanroom environment. This role ensures all parts meet strict quality and contamination standards required for industries such as semiconductor, aerospace, and medical devices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precision cleaning of parts using approved chemicals, solvents, and processes
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as ultrasonic tanks, DI water systems, and drying ovens
  • Handle components in a cleanroom environment following gowning and contamination control protocols
  • Conduct visual inspections using microscopes, magnifiers, and other inspection tools
  • Follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
  • Package cleaned components according to customer and industry standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of cleanroom and workstations
  • Record production data, inspection results, and process documentation accurately
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or process issues
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in cleanroom, manufacturing, or semiconductor environment preferred
  • Familiarity with precision cleaning processes is a plus
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and contamination control
  • Ability to use microscopes and precision measuring tools
  • Manual dexterity and careful handling of delicate components
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills

 

Work Environment

  • Cleanroom setting requiring full gowning (bunny suit, gloves, mask, etc.)
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Handling chemicals and following strict safety procedures
  • Fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment

 

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

  • Semiconductor or aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Experience with ultrasonic cleaning or chemical processing
  • Knowledge of ISO or quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
