Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure that our guests receive the highest quality of service. This role is essential in maintaining our standards of food preparation and hospitality while fostering a positive work atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Menu Availability Oversight
- Check that all menu items are available and ingredients are sufficiently stocked
- Communicate proactively if items need to be temporarily removed from the menu
- Cleanliness & Hygiene Checks
- Ensure store cleanliness meets Akihi’s hygiene and presentation standards
- Guide team members in maintaining sanitation and food safety protocols
- Equipment Monitoring
- Confirm that all machinery and equipment are functioning properly
- Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
- Quality Control
- Monitor the quality and consistency of all drinks and food prepared
- Provide feedback or retraining as needed to maintain standards
- Material & Inventory Supervision
- Check ingredient levels and packaging supplies throughout the shift
- Coordinate timely restocking and prevent shortages
- Team Leadership & AtmosphereFoster a positive and efficient work environment
- Provide clear direction and support to team members
- Oversee the tone and quality of customer interactions
- Basic Kitchen Preparation
- Assist in the preparation of basic kitchen items when necessary
- Order Adjustments & Refunds
- Handle order corrections, discounts, and refunds according to company policy
- Implementation of New Policies & Products
- Understand and enforce new procedures or promotionsEnsure the team is trained and compliant with updated systems or product launches
