Job Description
Position Title: Bell Staff
Department: Front Office / Guest Services
Reports To: Front Office Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager
Position Type: Seasonal | Full-Time or Part-Time | Hourly
Position Summary:
The Bell Staff at Mountain Lake plays a key role in delivering exceptional first and last impressions for our guests. This position is responsible for assisting guests with luggage, providing transportation support, delivering guest requests, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of arrival and departure areas. Bell Staff serve as ambassadors of the Lodge, offering warm hospitality while ensuring a seamless guest experience throughout the property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet all guests upon arrival and departure in a friendly, professional manner
· Assist guests with luggage handling, including transport to and from rooms, cabins, and vehicles
· Provide property orientation, including directions to guest rooms, amenities, and outlets
· Deliver guest requests promptly, including amenities, packages, and special items
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front entrance, lobby, and bell stand areas
· Coordinate with Front Desk to support guest arrivals, departures, and group movements
· Assist with transportation needs using approved resort vehicles (golf carts, vans, etc.)
· Monitor and manage luggage storage areas, ensuring proper tagging and organization
· Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure guest needs are met
· Provide information about Lodge services, dining, recreation, and local attractions
· Assist with special events and high-volume check-in/check-out periods
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
· Previous hospitality or guest service experience preferred
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Ability to operate resort vehicles including golf carts and vans
· Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods across property
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Additional Information:
Seasonal position, typically May through September, with possible extension into October.
This is a tipped position.
