Bus Operator - Public Transit

The primary objective of the Bus Operator is providing safe, reliable and efficient public transportation. Will perform Fixed Route and Demand Response services. Use of farebox, radio and AVL/GPS systems. Act as an ambassador to the public for SRTA.

Transit buses operate from New Bedford or Fall River garages and cover the surrounding areas. Demand Response vans operate throughout Bristol County.

Class B CDL with a Passenger Endorsement and Air Brakes is preferred, will train the right candidate.

Must pass pre-employment DOT Drug test and background evaluation before start of employment.

Acceptable driving record.
