Experienced Vascular Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a fully qualified Vascular Technologist to provide exceptional care for adult and geriatric patients during vascular ultrasound procedures. The ideal candidate will prepare patients for examinations, report clinical changes to the RN or physician, and document all procedures accurately in the medical record.
Responsibilities- Cares for patients during vascular ultrasound procedures.
- Prepares patients for examinations and reports changes in patient condition.
- Communicates STAT results and abnormal findings to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Documents procedures, labeling studies accurately, and enters charges into the medical record.
- Reports equipment malfunctions and assists in maintaining a clean and stocked work area.
- Adheres to sterile procedures and infection prevention standards.
This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule with varying shift times.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist, specializing in vascular ultrasound.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing Upper and Lower Venous Duplex, Arterial Duplex, Carotid Duplex, Abdominal Duplex, Hemodialysis Duplex, and Arterial Doppler PVR exams.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.
- RVT/RVS certification preferred; BLS required.
- Must be able to take on-call assignments.
- Ability to demonstrate standards of performance including ownership, teamwork, communication, and compassion.
