ACTIVELY SEEKING: FULL-TIME OR PART TIME PRESCHOOL TEACHER; MUST BE ABLE TO WORK MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. WE ARE OEPN 6:00AM UNTIL 6:30PM.

Qualifications:

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency and pass fingerprinting and criminal background check.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of (1) year of toddler lead teacher experience in a licensed childcare facility
• Knowledge and understanding of all current state and local regulations

Responsibilities:

• Provide a positive and nurturing environment for the children
• Provide a clean and attractive, well-kept classroom with all bulletin boards current
• Implement the Children's Lighthouse toddler curriculum
• Communicate to parents frequently - verbally and in writing - using the prescribed Children's Lighthouse technology
• Ability to effectively build trust and relationships with the parents and students
• Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds
• Maintain the Children's Lighthouse professional appearance, attitude and work behavior
• Assist in other capacities as determined by the Director
• Attend all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions as determined by the Director
• Observe all rules and regulations of Children's Lighthouse and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children

Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs - Will frequently lift as in lifting, carrying and holding children in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• Required to stand up to 90% of the day
• Must be able to stoop, bend and sit on a child's level
• Able to physically and mentally interact and react to children on the playground and/or in the classroom, and attend to their needs
• Must have the energy level required to do the job

Upon Employment:

• First Aid and CPR training, as required
• Successfully pass
• Minimum of 18 years old

Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Director

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older
• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Able to stand for duration of shift
