Physician Gastroenterology - Competitive Salary

Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide gastroenterology coverage with ERCP required


• Work Monday through Friday 9-hour shifts with 1-hour lunch (8 billable hours) plus 15-hour overnight call


• Weekend call coverage for 24 hours


• Complete block coverage required - must have full availability for all requested dates


• Work independently without scribe or assistant support


• Responsible for all charting and work completion


• Review pathology results and communicate follow-up recommendations to patients through nurses


• Perform hospital procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG/PEG-J tube placement


• ERCP/EUS preferred procedures


• Utilize 4 procedure rooms/endoscopy suites with Olympus equipment


• Conduct hydrogen breath testing and capsule endoscopy


• Administer propofol sedation


• Use Cerner, gGastro, and Athena EMR systems


• Average 12 patients per day for procedures with fewer inpatient consultations


• Board certification required with fellowship training


• ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required


• MI medical license required
