Opportunity:
Physician - Radiology - Breast Only
Job Details:
- On-site only position; local candidates only being considered at this time
- Schedule of 2-3 days per week, 2-4 weeks per month
- Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Fellowship-trained radiologist required to provide on-site coverage for screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI
- Proficiency required in image-guided procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations
- Must be highly knowledgeable in BI-RADS and MQSA requirements
- Detail-oriented reporting skills required with ability to manage same-day diagnostic workups
- Strong patient-facing communication skills essential as results and procedures are often discussed directly with patients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, clinic-based environment required
- Collaboration with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams expected
- Breast radiology skill breakdown: Screening Mammography 45-55% (approximately 35-40 per shift), Diagnostics 25-35%, Procedures 15-25%
- Expected patient encounters per shift: 40-50
- Currently operating on Change Health PACS with transition to Sectra PACS in July
- Cerner EMR utilized at this facility
- Board certification required; fellowship training required
- BLS certification required
- Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with a Level 1 Pediatric designation
