Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a community hospital in Yakima, WA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and active WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital featuring 2 procedure rooms and 5 pre/post care holding bays
- Patient population includes cardiac diagnostic and intervention, implantable devices, EP mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostic and intervention, and interventional radiology
- EMR systems used: Epic and Merge
- 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation — weekends are covered by on-call only
- On-call requirement: approximately every 4th weekend from Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
- Weekday on-call: one call shift per week from end of shift until 7:00 AM the following morning
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Proficiency in administering and monitoring conscious sedation
- Skills in patient assessment and clinical status monitoring
- Knowledge of medications used in the Cath Lab setting
- Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support
- Strong communication skills with patient care teams, patients, and families
- At least one professional reference from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) required for consideration, with a second reference required prior to start
