Accountant

Our client in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Accountant for a full time direct hire position. This is a HYBRID role where 2 days will be onsite and 3 days remote!

Salary: $90,000-$100,000

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage core financial operations for two entities. This role focuses on month-end close, global consolidations, and process optimization within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Manage cash reconciliations, forecasting, and ERP transaction postings.
• Month-End Close: Lead the close and consolidation process for global entities; ensure all GL accounts are reconciled and journal entries (payroll, intercompany, leases) are accurate.
• Analysis & Reporting: Perform P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis against budget/forecast; prepare ad hoc reports for the Controller and COO.
• Process Improvement: Identify efficiencies in financial systems, automate workflows, and enforce internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Compliance: Research and ensure adherence to GAAP standards.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Accountant; Manufacturing industry experience is required.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred).
• Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of GAAP, intercompany transactions, and global consolidations.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and strong communication for cross-functional collaboration.
