About this job
Job Description
The Laborer role is the foundation of our field operations. You'll work directly alongside equipment operators and crew leads on active civil construction and snow removal job sites — building the hands-on experience that builds a career in the trades. No prior construction experience required. This is the primary entry point for team members who want to grow into heavy equipment operation or job site leadership.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite alongside equipment operators supporting civil construction, excavation, grading, and snow removal
- Perform physical ground labor: digging, site prep, material handling, debris removal, grade checking
- Learn to safely operate light and heavy machinery under operator supervision — with a clear path to full certification
- Clean, inspect, and properly store all equipment, vehicles, and tools at the end of each shift
- Maintain accurate daily timecard entries in accordance with company standards
- Follow all job site safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required — we will train motivated candidates from the ground up
- Construction, trades, landscaping, or similar physical labor experience is a plus
- Demonstrated reliability — consistent attendance and punctuality in previous roles
- Physical ability to perform sustained outdoor labor in all weather conditions including winter
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly; comfortable working at elevation and in mountain weather
- Valid driver's license preferred; must be 18+; must pass pre-employment background check
Compensation & Benefits
$26.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include employer-sponsored health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan eligibility, up to $2,500 relocation assistance, company-paid Winter Park Resort ski season pass, and eligibility for performance-based pay increases.
