Job Description
MACHINE OPERATORS NEEDED
TAP STRIP OPERATOR $21.00-$22.00 PER HOUR DOE
• Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and technical
specifications.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements.
• Use measurement tools and perform basic dimensional checks.
• Make routine machine adjustments for quality and production needs.
• Accurately complete daily production and material usage records.
• Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature
MAJOR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
• Set up and operate tap strip cutting equipment.
• Process metal threaded strip and plastic insulated strip materials to required
dimensions.
• Select and run approved machine programs.
• Perform manual setups, including stops, fixtures, tooling and positioning
adjustments.
• Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments to maintain quality
and productivity.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and
specifications.
• Perform deburring and finishing as required.
• Complete routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor adjustments.
• Troubleshoot issues; escalate complex problems as needed.
• Record daily production and material usage (including shear tags).
• Verify material usage and report discrepancies.
HARDWARE INSTALLER MACHINE OPERATOR $21.00-$22.00 PER HOUR doe
MAJOR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
• Responsible for all work processed through hardware insertion
• Installing hardware
• Read and interpret blueprints and instructions
• Understand custom setups on special jobs
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Must have good basic oral and written communication skills
• Must have 2-3 years working knowledge in hardware insertion and blueprint reading
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and work with limited supervision
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Sitting occurs up to 60% of the time for brief or extended periods
• Lifting/carrying occurs approximately 30% of the time up to 25 pounds
• Handling/grasping occur approximately 30% of the time
• Some exposure to metal dust occurs as a result of deburring
• Standing occurs up to 40% of the time on concrete floors
• Work is performed in a Sheet Metal Shop. Exposure to noise requires use of
earplugs. Safety glasses are required when performing various job duties.
• Occasional use of forklift is required
