Job DescriptionCompany Description
A small manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for providing prompt, efficient diagnosis and repair of industrial equipment. This is a full-time position working 8 hours each day between the hours of 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices
- Detect malfunctions through visual or sound observation and run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
- Repair broken or faulty machine parts and perform emergency repairs
- Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
- Align and calibrate machine parts and ensure conformance to specifications
- Monitor and report on project progress, assure weekly schedule is completed, and ensure all work practices are in OSHA standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and keep machines running smoothly
- Fill out repair logs and required OSHA logs accurately and on time
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role
- Must have a great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, or electrical systems
- Must be able to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems, as well as, check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Must be familiar with various power and hand tools
- Must have strong problem-solving and organizational skills while accurately following all instructions
- Must be self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads
- The ability to complete all company repair and OSHA logs on time is required
- Must be able to follow all company policies and safety practices
